2. Dry scrubbers are air pollution control systems used to remove acidic gases and harmful pollutants from industrial exhaust. They work by injecting dry reagents, such as lime or sodium bicarbonate, which react with pollutants to form solid byproducts. These systems are cost-effective, require less water, and are easier to maintain than wet scrubbers. Dry scrubbers are widely used in power plants, cement industries, and waste incineration facilities.
